How to register on Udyam (MSME registration in 10 minutes)

Udyam Registration (formerly Udyog Aadhaar) is the free MSME registration that unlocks priority sector credit, subsidies, government tender preference, and protection under Section 43B(h). Here is the actual filing.

Step 1: Check eligibility

Manufacturing or service enterprise. Micro: investment ≤ ₹2.5 cr AND turnover ≤ ₹10 cr. Small: investment ≤ ₹25 cr AND turnover ≤ ₹100 cr. Medium: investment ≤ ₹125 cr AND turnover ≤ ₹500 cr. Choose the slab you fit.

Type of organisation (proprietorship, partnership, company, LLP). PAN of the business (mandatory for partnerships/companies/LLPs). Plant locations. Operating since date. Bank account for direct benefit transfer of subsidies.

Step 5: Fill investment and turnover

Self-declaration of investment in plant + machinery + equipment. Self-declaration of turnover. System auto-classifies you as Micro/Small/Medium. Be accurate — false declaration = certificate cancellation.

Step 6: Submit and receive Udyam certificate

Generated within 1-3 minutes. Download the PDF with the URN (Udyam Registration Number). Show this to banks for priority sector credit, to MCA for company filings, to buyers under Section 43B(h).
